Stop the Fuzz!

Do you want to SEE
what your stiffness looks like?

It's an actual fuzz in the muscles!

And once I saw it, I was even more committed to regular mobility work.
Maybe it will inspire you, too.

"Fascia and stretching: The Fuzz Speech"

Using human cadavers, this video shows a type of 'fuzz' between the sliding muscles. If we don't keep up our mobility, the fuzz grows thicker and stiffer, hampering our movement. Many call this 'aging.'

The top trainers always emphasize 'mobility first.' Suddenly, it makes even more sense. All it took was a few entertaining minutes with this video of Gil Hedley, noted teacher of anatomy. He gives a lesson on the importance of movement and stretching to maintain the sliding properties of tissues in the body.

He certainly makes the point that we should not let things in our bodies get fuzzy and when they do we need to "melt" the fuzz.

Isn't it interesting that animals stretch out every time they get up from a nap? Is this why?

Remove the Fuzz Resources

Currently, I am using more of the ideas and movements from Intu-Flow and Ageless Mobility by Scott Sonnon. The beginners routine of Intu-flow is freely available on YouTube.

Superjoints and Relax Into Stretch by Pavel are also well-worn companions in my training.
